Joseph
Krausz was born in a small town outside of Budapest, Hungary in 1936. He
discovered his love on nature at a very early age and his favorite pastime
was to walk in the surrounding woods endlessly tracking wild
animals.
Immigrating to the a United States when he was just twenty, knowing no
English, and not a dime in his pocket, he worked very hard in the
following years. The time passed quickly as he established himself by
making a loving and raising a family.
His love for arts has always been with him. he used to visit museums
and galleries admiring the Old Masters of Europe, and Renaissance through
Modern art. However, he could never settle on any specific type until he
discovered the art of Charles M. Russel and Frederick Remington. That
discovery had a tremendous impact on his life. He immediately knew that Western
Art was his passion.
Traveling extensively all over the world, particularly the western
states of the U.S., Canada and Alaska, he gained experience with nature,
the wilderness and people. His favorite subject matter became the wildlife
and the Plains Indians of the Northwest. Their lifestyle and customs have
provided him with fascinating subject matter for years to come.
Joseph Krausz, an avid art collector himself, lives in bell canyon,
California, a suburb of Los Angeles. He has taken art classes and they
have given him encouragement to cast some of his works in Bronze. His work
has been very well received by collectors all over the world. |
